Favorites – January 2021: Dark Academia Office

Finally, after a couple of years, we had snow. And I’m not talking about falls; one day melts another; I’m talking about snowing for days and having snow on the ground for weeks.

This weather inspired me to finally tackle my outdated desk, which I had for over 10 years. I have wanted to try dark academia aesthetics for some time now, but there never seemed a perfect opportunity until now.

I got a simple wooden desk from Jysk, took one chair that we already had in the house, bought a beautiful oriental rug at the flea market, and acquired a vintage-looking white banker’s lamp. The result is a stunning dark academia-inspired work corner.
