There is something about tea rooms and tea houses that always make me relaxed and joyful. Whenever I feel in a slum or uninspired, I visit one, and I almost immediately feel better.
In February, I had the opportunity to visit a bookstore that has a tea room integrated. It was empty with cats as a company, so I felt safe being there despite the current pandemic situation. I went there several times last month, and I felt inspired to make my tea room aesthetics.
My favorite tea rooms are the old sophisticated ones that serve high tea with a wide selection of teas and pastries. But for my tea room, I wanted to create a spring-inspired one, and what better represents spring than flowers.
The floral tea room doesn’t necessarily need to be full of flowers and floral patterns; it needs to enact the feeling of being on a wildflower meadow.
