Did you know that March is National Craft Month? It was established in 1994 by the Craft & Hobby Association, and ever since, crafters and artisans celebrate it. The end of winter and the beginning of spring bring a lot of inspiration for crafting, making sense that it’s March that is National Craft Month. #NationalCraftMonth
Spring is the perfect time to dust off your crafting tools and start crafting. If you are not already crafting, this is a good time to start a new hobby. Whether you are knitting, crocheting, or sewing, spring sun will be a great companion. There are so many amazing ways to express yourself, from pottery to needlework to papercrafts. Crafting is also a great way to make some extra money.
I will spend this spring honing my knitting skills, advancing my crocheting and sewing skills as well as trying embroidery. There are some amazing craft stores in my town, and I can’t wait to craft more.
Do you also have a specific craft for certain seasons? In autumn and summer, I like to knit, during the spring I like to sew and try different house diys and in the summer I enjoy making beaded jewelry.
What are your favorite crafts? Do you make money from crafting? Tell me all about your favorite craft activities in the comments below.
See you soon in next blog post, Persephone.
